These properties <text:s text:c="" xmlns:text="http://openoffice.org/2000/text"/>differ, depending on the control type. Not all of the following properties are available for every control.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="172" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>In the case of an HTML export, it is always the relevant default values that are exported, not the actual current values. Default values are determined - depending on the type of control - by the properties' <help:link Id="65921" Eid="defaultwert" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Default value</help:link> (for example, in text fields), <help:link Id="65921" Eid="defaultan" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Default status</help:link> (for check boxes and option fields), and <help:link Id="65921" Eid="defaultselektion" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Default selection</help:link> (for list boxes).</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="14" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">If a control field has the property "Enabled" (Yes), the form user will be able to use the control field.</help:help-text> If the property is disabled, it will not be enabled (No) and will be displayed in a gray color.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="75" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/><help:help-text value="hide" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Specifies how many lines should be displayed in the dropdown list. This setting is only active if you chose "Yes" in the "Dropdown" option.</help:help-text>For combo boxes with the <help:link Id="65921" Eid="aufklappbar" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Dropdown</help:link> property, you can specify how many lines should be displayed in the dropdown list. With control fields which do not have the Dropdown option, the line's display will be specified by the size of the control field and the font size.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="24" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/><help:help-text value="hide" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">The button type determines which type of action should be initiated.</help:help-text>The button type you determines which type of action should be initiated. For example, a button can send files or reset the custom control fields. The default values are set on the special properties dialogs of the respective buttons.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="25" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Choose from the following types and actions:</p>

The user can therefore cancel changes made within a form that do not correspond to the default setting.</p>
<p class="TextInTable"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="31" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Activating <span class="T1">Submit</span> sends the data that is entered in other control fields of the current form. The recipient's address is specified in <help:link Id="65960" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Form Properties</help:link> under <help:link Id="65948" Eid="url" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">URL</span></help:link>.</p>
<p class="TextInTable"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="33" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Activating <span class="T1">URL</span> calls a URL. The link address is specified under <help:link Id="65921" Eid="url" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">URL</span></help:link>. Under <help:link Id="65921" Eid="frame" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">Frame</span></help:link>, you can define the target frame.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="181" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Certain types of buttons are used for HTML documents when designing a Web page. For database forms, the property <span class="T1">Type</span> is not relevant.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="20" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/><help:help-text value="hide" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Specifies whether the combo box should dropdown (Yes) or not (No).</help:help-text>A control field with the dropdown property has an additional arrow button which opens the list of the existing form entries per mouse click. Under <help:link Id="65921" Eid="anzahlderzeilen" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">Line count</span></help:link>, you can specify how many lines (or rows) should be displayed in the dropdown state. Combination fields can have the dropdown property.</p>

<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="12" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/><help:help-text value="hide" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Specifies the alignment option.</help:help-text>Many controls have an <span class="T1">Alignment</span> property. Select one of the options to specify whether text should be left-aligned, right-aligned or centered. In the case of label fields, the alignment option refers to the title of the field, in the case of text fields, to their content, and in the case of columns of a table control, to the content of the table fields (data). In the case of buttons, the alignment refers to the alignment of a graphic that you insert in addition to the text or instead of a text.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="77" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/><help:help-text value="hide" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Specifies whether the combo box should have the AutoComplete function.</help:help-text>Specifies whether a combo box should have the AutoComplete function. When the AutoComplete function is enabled, after typing an entry you can choose from among a list of existing entries.</p>

For example, in the <span class="T1">Filter Navigator</span>, <span class="T1">Search</span> dialog, and as a column name in the table view.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="231" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>To define one character of the label as a mnemonic, so that the user can access this control by pressing the character on the keyboard, insert a tilde (~) character in front of the character in the label.</p>

By specifying a character code you can determine what the user can enter in the control field.</help:help-text>By specifying the character code in pattern fields, you can determine what the user can enter in the pattern field.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="184" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>The length of the edit mask determines the number of the possible input positions. If the user enters characters that do not correspond to the edit mask, the input is rejected when the user leaves the field. You can enter the following characters to define the edit mask:</p>

<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="113" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>You can have a format check with control fields that accept formatted contents (date, time, and so on). <help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">If the strict format function is activated (Yes), only the allowed characters will be accepted.</help:help-text> For example, in a date field, only numbers or date delimiters will be accepted; all alphabet entries typed with your keyboard will be ignored.</p>
